Welcome to my pre production unit page
on this page i will show the examiner a range of different pre production techniques i have learnt. i will also show the examiner all the necessary forms and surveys that need to be filled out in order to have to make an effective product e.g. an advert. i will put documents on here like a risk assessment, budget form, location recce, call sheet, location release, script, shooting script, storyboard, shot list and release agreement.
Pre production work
the call sheet has all the information your cast and crew e.g. it will tell who was your camera man or who was your first actor.
the location recce is where i look at my location and i look at all the potential hazards and the problems with filming there e.g. to much internal or external noise. the recce also looks at if it has the right appliance available to film like electricity and light.
the risk assessment is where i look at any potential hazards and dangers of things going wrong in the location and the chance of them happening, the risk of falling down the stairs is unlikely but the consequence is major.
the script is where you write down all the dialogue your actors are going to say and the screen action. it is like writing a script for a play.
the shooting script is basically the scrip and shot list combined except in order so it would basically be the first lot of stage directions with some dialogue and then the shots it will happen in e.g. it could be man opens car door and gets in car sound door opening slam shot 1 medium shot 5 seconds still shot, man opens door then it would be the next lot of dialogue and stage directions with the next shot so its all in chronological order.
the shot list is a bit like the a written storyboard because. it has the shot number, the shot duration with the screen action.
this is my gantt chart it has a list of what pre production step i was working on and when and for how long.
This is my proposal it outlines what my idea is and some of the equipment i will need.
this is my story board that shows the shots i will be using and the number of shots and duration of the shots
